      W&N Winton Oil Colors, 200ml

      $17.45
      Color: Burnt Sienna

Winton oils are made from moderately priced pigments, created for student and beginner artists or professional painters requiring large volumes of color at an economical cost. As with Artists’ Oil Color, every color in the Winton range is individually formulated to take advantage of the natural characteristics of each pigment and to ensure the stability of the color.

The economical cost of Winton oil colors is achieved through the use of moderately priced pigments rather than the lessening of pigment content to an unacceptable level. Winsor & Newton uses single pigments wherever possible to create individual colors. Combined with strength of color, single pigments provide a wide color range in themselves and offer cleaner, brighter mixtures with infinite hues.

The Winton range has a more uniform consistency than Artists’ Oil Colors and is slightly stiffer. Winton colors offer excellent brush retention and can hold palette knife strokes.

Colors also available in 37 ml tubes

FLAX art & design is a genuine Oakland institution. Opening their first store in 1938, they're now on their 3rd generation of family ownership and have recently relocated to a beautiful new Downtown location that could best be described as a "toy store for artists." 80 years in and they're still putting art and community front and center. You can visit them at their own site here, or find more of their products right here on Keep Oakland Alive.
