Prado Synthetic Brushes
Prado Travel Brushes are handmade in Spain by Escoda. Designed for watercolor & acrylic painting. Escoda's Synthetic Tame is one of the most valued synthetic materials because of its similarity to sable hair. It not only imitates its color, but it also imitates its spring and absorption of liquids. Thanks to the perfect combination of three different diameters and three lengths in the fibers, the brushstroke's result is the same as one made of natural hair. The patented triple crimp ferrule is unique to Escoda brushes and helps ensure a lifetime of use.
Available in Angle, Bright, Filbert, and Round, shown left to right in image.
FLAX art & design is a genuine Oakland institution. Opening their first store in 1938, they're now on their 3rd generation of family ownership and have recently relocated to a beautiful new Downtown location that could best be described as a "toy store for artists." 80 years in and they're still putting art and community front and center. You can visit them at their own site here, or find more of their products right here on Keep Oakland Alive.
