What were you doing before opening your shops?
I’m a mother of four and I was an executive at large corporations.

What are your favorite three items in the shops?
The Tal & Bert planters, PJ Salvage pajamas and loungewear, and the Dolce Vita Huey Boot.

Why did you open in Rockridge?
It’s a unique mix of neighborhood shops. The avenue draws people from all over the Bay Area. People live near and shop on College Avenue. Rockridge is a close knit community that supports local businesses.

Why did you open in Oakland?
I was born here and I take great pride in having a business in the city of Oakland. I think Oakland is the best city in the Bay Area.

What are you top three spots in Rockridge?
Becky's has the best Chinese food, period. Cactus' shrimp tacos are my favorite. Oori is a new fav for their rice triangles.
