Born from the desire to give people healthier skin by way of nature, Cole + Jade is run by two sisters who learned about the secrets of skincare from their own grandmother, mother, and aunts. Known for their life-changing body butters, scrubs, toners, and oils that give you that lit-from-within look, their products are handcrafted with clean and natural ingredients that soften, tone, heal, and normalize the skin and protect it against sun damage.

What were you doing before opening your shop?
Working in the healthcare industry.

What led you to open Cole + Jade – what was your vision? 
The women in our family have always prioritized caring for their skin. As sisters, we grew up watching our grandmother, mother, and aunts as they went through their carefully cultivated skin and body care routines. As we grew into adulthood, we recognized the importance of not only caring for our skin, but knowing exactly what we were putting on our skin. Cole + Jade manifested after years of researching and formulating natural, chemical free, plant based methods to care for our skin. 

Tell us about your three favorite products:
The Moisturizing Serum for hydrated, plump, glowing skin. Made with sea buckthorn oil, the "holy fruit of the Himalayas", this product really gives you a clear complexion with a subtle bronze glow.

The Hydrating Rose Toner is made with decadent Bulgarian rose hydrosol and super hydrating hyaluronic acid. This toner does just what you need it to do... balance and hydrate to make your skin glow.

The Luxe Body Butter for that Glow. Every. Season. Made with moisturizing and nourishing super-food butters and oils with anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and healing properties. 

Why did you choose to open in Oakland?
It's where we are living, loving, working, and aging.

What are you top 3 spots in the neighborhood?
In Oakmore we love locally-owned Rocky's... it's an awesome boutique grocery store with super cool employees and owners and delicious coffee/pastries. Really happy that Café Umami is down in the Fruitvale, they have delicious grain bowls and yummy healing drinks. Appreciate our closeness to Dimond Park... blessed to have a big open space to take the kids.

Who would you most like to visit the shop?
People who think they can't get healthy looking skin without harsh chemicals... we want to blow their minds.
