This Week at KOA: Oakland Pride Pack, Easter Goodies, Experience the 90s

This Week at KOA: Oakland Pride Pack, Easter Goodies, Experience the 90s

What's up, Oakland? The days are feeling a bit warmer (minus the showers), spring has almost sprung, and the Easter goodies are rolling in. In fact, all of this seasonal goodness has inspired us to cook up a collaboration with one of your favorite local shops – details coming soon!

Thanks to those of you who came out to Happy Trails Home last Saturday to say hello! The shop was hoppin' (socially distanced, of course) with friends old and new. This Saturday we'll be popping up outside of Flax art & design (1501 Martin Luther King Jr. Way) from 11am-1pm, so come on down and get some swag.

Have you been digging what we've been doing at Keep Oakland Alive? Don't forget to tell your friends and fam. Word of mouth is a powerful thing, and the more people know how easy it is to shop local on KOA, the more shop owners will feel the benefits. Big things happen when we come together for The Town.

A giftable ode to The Town, our limited edition Oakland Pride Pack has some of our best-selling items for spreading the local love, thanks to your neighborhood shop owners at Oaklandish, Oaktown Spice Shop, Bella Vita, and Happy Trails Home!

      Each pack includes:
      - Keep Oakland Alive Eco Tote Bag
      - Rustic Ceramic Mug from Oaklandish
      - Grand Lake Shake from Oaktown Spice Shop
      - 5 pack Oakland postcards by local artist Meredith Steele from Bella Vita (random selection)
      - Motel Key Tag (various colors) from Oaklandish
      - Oakland Tea Towel by artist Doodles Ink from Happy Trails Home

Ready to gift, the items will arrive packed into the bag with our Keep Oakland Alive tissue paper. Get The Pack

Easter as a kid: an epic, sugar fueled race to see who can find the most candy, gifted by a magical bunny. Easter as a parent: hiding eggs at the crack of dawn, wishing you were sleeping in and thinking about the main event – brunch! However you spend the day, make it festive – and trust your local shops to have some pretty fun things for your backyard eggstravaganza. You can't go wrong with these picks, so get hoppin' (or check out our whole Easter collection).

Experience the 90s is much more than a shop, it’s an OMG pop-up experience in Jack London Square by some in-touch Oaklanders who want to give you serious nostalgia. With 12 interactive installations, like the teenage dream room, the place is designed to help you relive the decade and get the ‘gram.

The whole shebang has been closed since the pandemic began, but we got intel that they're reopening their shop this weekend and will be open Saturdays 12-7pm and Sundays 12-6pm. The pop-up is generally still closed, but if you make an in-store purchase, you'll get a photo opp in their newest room!

If you need their hella fly 90s merch delivered to your doorstep, we got you. From fanny packs and crop tops, to beanies and bucket hats, and donut hoodies to stickers for your trapper keeper, we've got something for every wannabe on KOA. Shop Experience the 90s
